Municipalities this week about the mandate requiring health-care workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>B.C. is the only jurisdiction in Canada with a vaccine requirement in the health-care system.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a long debate this week, municipal leaders from across the province ended up voting down a motion suggesting B.C. should scrap the requirement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe people who are in hospitals are vulnerable,\u201d Karen Harper, a councillor from Saanich said. \u201cYoung old, doesn\u2019t matter.
