Doctors have said that by the Fourth of July, we may have a better feel for how the rest of the <a target=\"_blank\" lang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2024-06-01\/covids-flirt-subvariants-are-rising-how-bad-will-it-get\" rel=\"noopener\">season<\/a> will play out.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention <a target=\"_blank\" lang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#variant-proportions\" rel=\"noopener\">estimates<\/a> that the FLiRT subvariants \u2014 officially known as KP.3, KP.2 and KP.1.1 \u2014 make up a combined 62.9% of specimens nationwide for the two-week period ending Saturday.
