{"id":7440,"date":"2025-01-09T04:24:07","date_gmt":"2025-01-09T09:24:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stillcoviding.ca\/fr\/?p=7440"},"modified":"2025-01-09T04:24:08","modified_gmt":"2025-01-09T09:24:08","slug":"mask-rules-are-back-in-bc-hospitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stillcoviding.ca\/fr\/nouvelles\/mask-rules-are-back-in-bc-hospitals\/","title":{"rendered":"Mask Rules Are Back in BC Hospitals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Masks are back for British Columbia\u2019s health-care sector. <\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday the province said it had reintroduced masking requirements for all health-care workers, volunteers, contractors, patients and visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The masking requirements kicked off on Monday and will last for the duration of respiratory season, which usually ends once the weather improves in the spring.<\/p>\n<p>Masks will be required \u201cin areas where patients are actively receiving care, except when eating and\/or drinking,\u201d the Health Ministry said in a statement Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>This will apply to health authority-operated facilities, including emergency departments, waiting rooms, hospitals, long-term care and assisted living, outpatient clinics and ambulatory care settings.
