University of Rochester Medical Center: Masks Toolkit — A toolkit with tips for helping kids wear masks. Note: the toolkit was updated in 2020. There are better options for respirators now, such as the Flo Mask for kids and Vitacore respirators.
Stores and organizations
[Canada] Donate A Mask is a volunteer-run charity that ships free N95 equivalent respirator masks to anyone in Canada who requests them. The charity aims to support those who are vulnerable and those who are unable to afford or access high-quality masks.
[Canada] Canada Strong Masks — The online store offers an excellent selection of N95 and FFP3 respirators, including the Vitacore CAN99 9500, 3M Aura 1870+, 3M Aura 9205+, 3M Aura 9210+, 3M VFlex 1804, 3M VFlex 1804S, 3M 1860, 3M 1860S, 3M VFlex 9105, 3M VFlex 9105S, and Dräger X-plore 1750. Mask sample kits and recycling bins are available.
[Canada] PPE Supply Canada — The 3M Aura 1870+ and the 3M 1860 are excellent options. They’re N95 respirators, and they have headstraps for a tight fit. This online store also sells the Flowflex rapid tests.
[Canada] Prescientx — The [breathe]™ Reusable Mask is available from the online store. Each mask kit comes with five filters, a head band and ear loops. The masks are made in Canada. The masks can not be shipped to the United States.
[Canada] Vitacore — The Vitacore CAN99 9500 respirator has headstraps for a tight fit, and it’s an N95 and an FFP3 (>99% filtration). Vitacore respirators are made in British Columbia. You can also buy mask recycling bins and other PPE from the online store.
[European Union] maskwholesale.eu — This shop is based in Germany, but it can ship respirators and rapid tests to international addresses. There is a good selection of respirators and rapid tests (including some FFP3 respirators and the Flowflex rapid tests).
[United Kingdom] The Face Mask Store — This shop is based in the UK, but it can ship respirators to international addresses. Some FFP3 respirators are available.
