In 2026-2027, three COVID-19 vaccines will be available in Canada: the Moderna Spikevax, Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty, and Sanofi Nuvaxovid vaccines. In most provinces, all three vaccines will be available via publicly funded programs. Only vaccines that Health Canada has approved for use will be administered.
The Nuvaxovid (formerly Novavax) COVID-19 vaccine will be available in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
In Quebec: the Nuvaxovid vaccine will not be available via the publicly funded program. However, it is still possible to order doses at a pharmacy. Nunavut and the Northwest Territories have not announced details for their vaccination programs yet. For the Yukon: so far, it looks like the Nuvaxovid vaccine is not available yet.
